Casual clicker game for PC
Time Clickers is a free-to-play action game for PC developed by Proton Studio Inc. It is an idle clicker that has players take on waves of assembled cubes. They can earn gold that they can use to upgrade weapons or hire a team of shooters to help out.
Similar to Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms, Time Clickers is a game that will continue to progress even when players are not actively playing it. It features simple controls, and its developer even boasts that it is completely free of any microtransactions that are often the case in the genre.
How do I play it?
The basic gameplay premise of Time Clickers is similar to that of the many titles that have come out in the idle clicker game genre. However, what makes it unique is the first-person perspective you'll be playing it in. You take on control or a lone soldier armed with nothing more than a pistol. A wave of assembled blocks will come at you, and off to shooting you go.
Time Clickers' gameplay is very simple, destroy blocks, collect gold, and use that gold to upgrade your weapons. You can even hire yourself a team of mercenary soldiers that will help you in battle. Every 100 waves will come Time Cubes that you can use to unlock team abilities. You will need to perform a Time Warp to spend thing, which will reset your progress back to level 1.
You will be repeating this gameplay loop to enable you to reach further every time and closer to the purported end of the game. As is the case with idle clicker games, you will continue to earn even if you're actively playing. Things get repetitive after a while, though, but there are enough things to encourage you to come back for more.
Fun and entertaining
All in all, Time Clickers is a fun game that you can enjoy for short bursts of quick and casual gameplay. Pick it up when you feel like it, and know that your game will continue to progress even after you've left. It's not the most complex or engaging gameplay loop out there, but it offers enough things to make you want to come back every now and then.
